In Inductive loads like Motors, Pumps and in mixed load conditions like buildings ( with pumps, ACs, water cooler and lighting load) , there is an increase in reactive load of the electricity system which leads to higher consumption due to lower efficiency and also poor Power factor leads to penalties and financial losses.  The bills for these services are very high and hence there is a need to reduce the consumption and save money.
